¡°Lu Xing ¨C Yang Jisheng Foundation (Lu-Yang Foundation)¡±is a non-profit and non-governmental foundation raised in the name of Prof. Lu Xing and Prof. Yang Jisheng with the former Xi¡¯an Medical Univerisity (now Xi¡¯an Jiaotong University School of Medicine). The foundation is initiated by Han Qide and Prof. Du Xiaojun et al who are the students Prof. Lu and Prof. Yang in the year 1997. The purpose of the foundation is to carry forward the devotion to science and medical education and to commend outstanding young pathophysiologists and to inspire their devotion to the development of scientific research and education of medicine in China. The finance of the foundation comes from individual and collective donation, mostly from individual donations of the students of Prof. Lu and Prof. Yang at present. The foundation has been managed by the executive committee of ISHR Chinese Section and CAP Cardiovascular Society since its establishment and has been awarded to outstanding young cardiovascular scientists.
